NAIRN DUNBAR CLUBHOUSE 

The Nairn Dunbar clubhouse is perfect for members and visiting golfers alike, who want to sit back and relax while taking in the views out over the putting green and the course towards the sea, both before and after playing the course.  The view outside is very extensive, showing the full Par 5 – 18th hole from tee to green, and gives a good look at the opening and a few of the finishing holes on the course.  Once you are comfortably seated with a hopefully scenic view, you have the option of ordering drinks and food as required.  Either before or after playing, breakfast, lunch and a range of snacks are usually available along with a good choice of hot and cold drinks.  Although many club members also just enjoy a non golfing visit to the lounge or ‘back bar’ to catch up socially, or to enjoy some lunch options with family or friends, or simply to enjoy a solo coffee or tea with a view, while possibly contemplating their next visit to the links for a wee game.

The above corner area of the clubhouse provides a particularly attractive view of the 1st and 18th holes, and thus the opportunity to contemplate what lays ahead on the course today or possibly to reflect on the days performance over a refreshing beverage or two.

The clubhouse provides a large and comfortable lounge area where there is plenty of room to host large numbers of people at a range of tables and seating locations.  This multi functional lounge is suitable for all sizes of visiting groups and can be easily adapted to fit most needs, although we do recommend that if your a larger group that you do contact us beforehand to ensure that we can properly accommodate your individual needs.

We also have an additional bar area, known as the ‘Back Bar’ although strangely it is located at the front of the clubhouse, this is a very relaxed and smaller spike bar often popular with golfers after competitions or when other special events are taking place in the main lounge.  This area has a pool table and a darts section and its own bar.  Being a somewhat smaller space it can have a lively atmosphere at busy times, which often occurs when football match rivalries are on the agenda.  The usual full range of food and drink is of course available in here as it is in the main lounge.

The golf club main lounge is often used for events outside of its usual daily role and can host many varied types of events and activities.  Often providing the ‘wake’ for funerals large and small, it has also hosted a number of weddings, including the actual ceremony, lots of special birthdays, and many other formal and informal dinners and evening gatherings.  Including the famous and very popular  ‘Burns Night’ complete with Bagpipes, Haggis and the always popular Scottish Whiskey.  At Christmas it is a non stop run of Xmas party evenings and regular Xmas lunches for both member groups and visiting parties from around the local area.

The club also uses the lounge area to run all of its very popular evening entertainment events from Race Nights to Bingo to Quiz Nights among the very many run throughout the year.

In the summer, the clubhouse operates an extended hours service to cater to the increased number of golfers who use the extra hours of daylight to enjoy their golf later in the evening and who then come in once their game is complete to enjoy the services available in the bar and lounge areas.  In winter, with the shorter and colder days, and subsequently lower number of golfers and visitors to the clubhouse, that usually results in a reduction of opening hours as demand dictates.

The images above show a small selection of the food choices that are available to members, guests and visitors during catering hours from our menu.  Societies and other large visiting parties are advised to contact us in advance to ensure that their catering needs are fully catered for.  For larger functions and special events we recommend that you contact our clubhouse manager to discuss your particular catering requirements by email, calling or even just dropping by the clubhouse to discuss options in person.
