Nairn Dunbar Junior Golf Section
Nairn Dunbar welcomes its new junior members who now number over 95 young boys and girls and their new Junior convenor who will be starting in their role in November 2025. This is a new and exciting period of development for our junior section and as part of this we will shortly be adding a new informative junior section to our website, hopefully with some input from the juniors as well. We will of course be sending out further information on this to all our junior members over the next few weeks. Nairn Dunbar has produced over the years many fine young golfers, a number of whom have gone on to enjoy wider success in the game of golf at both Professional and elite Amateur levels. Including the PGA Tour, the Ladies European Tour, within both the Boys and Girls Scotland Squads and also as assistant golf professionals who are based in jobs at golf clubs around Scotland and sometimes further afield. Indeed in the Junior League Winners Team Photo below from a few year ago, we have two current Scotland Squad players, two who are currently undertaking their PGA (Professional Golf Association) training, and two who currently work as assistants in local golf clubs, many of the Juniors shown below reached an excellent handicap level often at scratch or better, and between all of them won numerous times at varying levels in local area competitions and sometimes in National competitions. As young adults you may see them from time to time playing or returning to play at Nairn Dunbar, where they all learnt their golf.
As you can see learning and playing golf as a junior at Nairn Dunbar offers the potential of excelling at golf should you wish to work hard enough to achieve your golfing dreams, whatever they might be. But whatever your desires are in golf, we are sure that you will have a enjoyable and fun experience while playing the game here, we are certainly excited that you have taken the decision to join the club as a junior member, thank you.
If you wish to make an application for a junior membership please complete the form below with the appropriate Junior Category and we will be in contact with you shortly…

The Stephen Gallacher Foundation is a regulated charity, established in 2012 with the aim of giving all children the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of golf in a fun, inclusive environment. Our goal is to help create future members of golf clubs across Scotland. While it would be incredible to see a Foundation participant go on to become a professional golfer and a winner on the European Tour, our primary objective is to develop young people into confident, respectful golf club members who will enjoy this beautiful game for the rest of their lives.
“It was soon after winning The 1999 Open that I began to seriously consider what I could put back into the game and came up with the Paul Lawrie Foundation. It has grown over the years and I am proud of what we’ve all achieved.”
– Paul Lawrie
Launched in March 2001, The Paul Lawrie Foundation has steadily grown both in popularity and reputation. It has developed a programme for under-18s that gives them the opportunity to try golf and encourages them to develop their sporting potential.
The Paul Lawrie Foundation has a variety of different levels and offers children the chance to: experience the game, improve their skills, ease the transition from participation to the club environment, play to the best of their ability or interest and to have fun playing golf. A full calendar of events is available to download on the entry forms page.
The Paul Lawrie Foundation aims to support and sustain an interest and enthusiasm for the game. Activities are delivered in a fun and relaxed setting with equipment provided if necessary.
With your support the Paul Lawrie Foundation will maintain its place as one of the leading grass roots golf development programmes in Scotland.
