Course Update – March 5th

We have topped up all paths around course and sorted the 14th path that had roots showing from the last storm.

All extension to tees and old 7th and 16th bunkers have been turfed, and these areas are GUR until further notice.

The greens have received a top dressing this week of 9 ton of sand after our granular application of lawn sand on the greens last week.

This week we will also be spraying the fairways with a feed for the season ahead.

All bunkers have had a top up of sand and sand moved about the bunkers. The bunkers that were redone in winter remain GUR.

We have made a start on replacing timber on the walk over bridges around the course.

Our new seasonal has also started Tony Smith who will be keeping on top of the divots on the golf course.

Please remember the following when playing on the course as we prepare for the 2026 season.

· Repair pitchmarks on the greens

· Use a mat when on the fairway or in the first cut of rough

· Rake bunkers after playing out of a bunker

· Players should always aim to keep up with the group in front of them. If a group falls more than a hole behind, then they should allow the group behind to play through.

· At the moment some of the bunkers on the course are classed as Ground Under Repair as there has been some renovation works carried out on them over the winter. The GUR signs which had been ordered have arrived and are in place. If your ball is in a bunker that is classed as GUR, then please remove your ball and drop at the nearest point of relief.
